Left early from SeaRim and headed
west to South LLano River State Park.
As we left the park still had no water and no other campers
They had to close--glad we were self contained and good dry campers!
Said goodbye to our other site resident and we were off finally.
Houston
Oh no, Pouring Again!
As we took the bypass around San Antonio, we got a call from
the State park. The park is closed due to flooding....Now where are we going to stay?
We were close to Boerne.
Found Top of the Hill RV Resort; they still had room and high and dry!
Glad we did! Drove 7 hard hours today.
We learned there was an abandoned railroad tunnel that
housed 1-3 million BATS and a great little restaurant nearby.
Off we went, Found the tunnel... too early. No bats flying yet.
Let's eat! Great restaurant, excellent hamburgers, almost too big to finish.
We were stuffed. The heck with the bats, and went back home.
