Touring the Lake Havasu area today.
London Bridge
This bridge spanned the Thames River in London
since 1831, until it was dismantled in 1967.
By 1962, the bridge could not support modern traffic;
so, the City of London sold it to a Arizona developer
for his planned community of Lake Havasu City.
The price was 2.5 million and another 7.5 million
to dismantle, number, ship, and reassemble.
Heading south toward the Parker Dam...
Lake Havasu's water level is kept at a high level
because it is one of the main sources of water for
Southern California.
